Poultry Integrators Meet
The recent ‘Integrator Meet’ in Goa, themed "Preparing for Future Challenges in Integrated Poultry Production," marked a pivotal moment in knowledge-sharing event. With over 100 broiler Integration companies’ management team/groups and 30 international delegates from countries such as Turkey, Thailand, Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Nepal, the meet provided a platform for the exchange and collaboration of ideas.
The event was not just another meet; it was a convergence of business leaders, industry experts, and pioneers, all focused on navigating the evolving challenges of the poultry industry.
The audience took a keen interest in the management topics selected for the event which emphasized preparedness and collaboration to tackle the industry's future obstacles head-on.
Key presenters included:
Dr. Davide Assirelli, Italy, the head of Global Hatchery Operations at Lohmann Breeders GmbH, who discussed the impact of hatchery management on economic performance and efficiency.
Dr. I.R. Meno Thomas, Holand, Director at Zetadec and Assistant Professor at Wageningen University, focused on feed ingredient particle size and its effects on microbiome, gut health, and production.
Dr. Claudio Oliveira Novack, a Brazilian expert in poultry health and nutrition, shared insights on the various phases and measures adopted by the Brazilian poultry industry, with special emphasis on biosecurity measures to reduce infectious challenges.
Werner Krull from Germany highlighted the importance of cleaning and disinfection in modern biosecurity practices, emphasizing the need to adapt tools, equipment and monitoring devices.
Saife Vetmed India, highlighted key initiatives supporting the industry, including the "Protection through Biosecurity" program and a demonstration of Cleaning Van in association with Huntenburg Hygiene Service. The demonstration drew interest of the participants, along with ventures “Poultrac -Farm digitalization,” and “EggNChicken4U, which connects producers directly to consumers.”
The co – host, Arm & Hammer, presented the most futuristic and innovative program which can prove to be a masterstroke in contributing to the feed and food safety program.
Cultural programs, sports events, and the celebration of India’s 78th Independence Day infused a patriotic spirit into the event, fostering unity among the participants.
Management representatives from Lanxess, Anpario, and Arm & Hammer were all in attendance. The participants left feeling inspired and eager to apply the new insights they had gained.
